This is the first year Buslink Sunshine Coast has had the pleasure of being a major sponsor and providing transport for the 2017 Wild Women Adventure Race held in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland on Sunday 15 October.

After doing some team challenges at the start in Pamona, competitors were transported to a “mystery” location – Mount Timbeewah – where the real adventure.
Racing in pairs (for safety reasons) the contest included navigation and map reading, trekking, paddling, mountain biking and few other exciting challenges such as slacklining (walking on a suspended rope) and fording a rainforest creek while carrying a bike.
After a wild and adventurous 50km through the trails and forest of the hinterland, everyone finished back at the starting point in Panoma.
Race Director, Jan Leverton, said:
“The Wild Women Adventure Race is about getting out of the gym/office/house and into the wild, to experience all the thrills of all-women’s adventure racing in a challenging but fully supported and safe environment.
“It was a great day out for all concerned and the girls were beaming with excitement when they crossed the finish line – wet, muddy and all fired up to do another one! Thanks Buslink for your support – everything went like clockwork!”
