Central Queensland bus operator, Young’s Bus Service, owned and operated by ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC), will officially be rebranded as CDC Queensland and would now operate as CDC South East Queensland Pty Ltd, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth and evolution.
Additionally, both the Young’s Bus Service and Rothery’s Coaches websites will be consolidated into the new-look CDC Queensland website, which will now serve as the sole digital platform for all Queensland bus services.
This transition is part of CDC’s broader rebranding strategy, following successful updates in other regions, such as Canberra, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory.
Tony Hopkins, the CEO of CDC Regional Australia Division stated this initiative is a key part of our strategy and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering safe, sustainable transport for the communities we service, while reinforcing our commitment to investing in regional Queensland.
Young’s Bus Service has been a cornerstone of Central Queensland’s transport network since it began operations in 1949; it was acquired by CDC in October 2021.
Rothery’s Coaches, another long-standing operator in the region, has been in service since 1977, and was acquired by CDC in June 2022.
The rebranding of Young’s Bus Service to CDC Queensland reflects the company’s commitment to uniting its operations under one strong, cohesive brand.
The new CDC Queensland livery, showcasing CDC’s distinctive bright orange and blue branding, will be gradually rolled out across Young’s Bus Service vehicles, with approximately 50 per cent completed this year, and the remaining to follow next year.
Meanwhile, Rothery’s Coaches will retain its current livery.
CDC Queensland General Manager Anna Tyben, highlighted the importance of this brand alignment and digital consolidation as pivotal moments for the company.
“We are thrilled to take this major step in aligning Young’s Bus Service with the CDC Queensland brand.
“This rebrand reflects our ongoing commitment to the Central Queensland community and our dedication to delivering top-quality transport services.
“The consolidation of the Young’s Bus Service and Rothery’s Coaches websites into the one user-friendly CDC Queensland platform is an exciting part of this process.
“Our customers will enjoy seamless access to school bus timetables, urban routes, and charter servicesꟷall in one place.
“This is an exciting chapter in our growth, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community under the new CDC Queensland banner,” she said.
The updated CDC Queensland website will offer a seamless, easy-to-navigate experience for customers.
It will house all essential information about CDC Queensland’s operations, from school bus timetables to urban transport routes, and charter services.
As part of the transition, the former Young’s Bus Service and Rothery’s Coaches websites will be redirected to the new-look CDC Queensland website at cdcqueensland.com.au, ensuring a smooth digital experience for all users.
The new CDC Queensland branding will rollout gradually, while the website updates are fully in place.
