For more than 65 years, our bus services have been an integral part of the Rockhampton community, proudly serving what is known as Australia’s ‘Beef Capital’, Rockhampton. We provide essential school, urban, and charter transport, ensuring reliable connectivity across the region.
As one of the largest bus operators in the area, CDC Rockhampton (formerly Young’s Bus Service and also including Rothery’s Coaches) is more than just a transport providerꟷwe are a proud part of the local fabric. Our modern fleet, experienced drivers, and commitment to personalised service reflect our deep roots in the community we serve.
Operating around 200 daily services with a fleet of more than 60 vehicles, our operations in Rockhampton and Yeppoon employees more than 60 locals, offering both full time and casual roles, contributing to the regional economy and supporting local livelihoods.
In addition to school and urban transport routes, we offer competitive charter services tailored to businesses, schools, charities, sporting clubs, and recreational groups. Our expertise also extends to workforce transport solutions, particularly in the resources sector, where our reputation for impeccable safety standards, and on-time delivery sets us apart.
Young’s Bus Service, established in 1949, was acquired by ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC), joining one of the world’s largest land transport companies. In December 2024, Young’s Bus Service was rebranded to CDC Rockhampton, with our buses now proudly sporting the iconic orange and blue livery of the CDC transport brands.
Similarly, Rothery’s Coaches, established in 1977, became part of CDC in July 2022, further cementing our role as a key transport provider in the Rockhampton region.
