It’s vital to our business that we regularly get involved in promoting the importance of road safety.
Buslink was pleased to host a series of breakfast events within our five depots for Queensland Road Safety Week (27-31 Aug 2018), where many of our local community members and stakeholders joined us.
Our key clientele are school children that we all as a community need to keep safe. The backdrop to this is our bus drivers have to interact with vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists on heavily congested roads around Sunshine Coast and Gladstone schools, on a regular and daily basis.
The events therefore, provided a great forum for everyone to engage and understand the roles we all play in helping to reduce the tragic and avoidable losses on our roads.
Amongst those who joined us were key stakeholders from local schools and councils, Department of Transport and Main roads, Queensland Police, RACQ, QBIC, Traffic Compliance, QUT and UQ representatives.
