COVID-19 Update

Updated 1 April 2021: The Queensland Government has announced a lifting of the lockdown for greater Brisbane from midday Thursday 1 April, however, all current rules regarding the wearing of masks on public transport (excluding school students) and when indoors will remain. The carrying of masks at all other times will still be necessary.

From 5pm Monday 29 March 2021, greater Brisbane will go into a three-day lockdown with travel for essential reasons only. 

  • Public transport, including school services, will run as scheduled to support essential workers and their children.
  • Education Queensland has confirmed that students (including those over 12 years of age) do not have to wear a face mask if they are travelling on a dedicated school bus service, including in the Greater Brisbane area. Bus drivers, however, must wear a mask.
  • Leave a gap between you and others.
