Buslink Queensland has completed its Fleet Procurement Program for 2015 with the addition of five new Mercedes Benz chassis, Volgren bodied vehicles, on the Sunshine Coast.
Buslink continues to monitor and measure the performance and condition of our fleet of vehicles and in conjunction with our client, Translink. Our customers’ perceptions of our services is of utmost importance, and we are proud of the reputation we have within the communities we operate. A clean and efficient fleet of vehicles is part of this reputation.
A reliable, safe and strong combination of Mercedes and Volgren
The new buses are built and powered by strong and reliable 7.2 litre Mercedes Benz diesel engines compliant with stringent Euro 5 emission standards. The O 500R raises the standard for school and charter buses with the inclusion of ABS, four-wheel disc brakes and a raise and lowering function as standard equipment. In addition, the buses are fitted with electronically controlled suspension for added passenger comfort.
The bus bodies are supplied by Volgren, an Australian company and have a long association with our Buslink operations. Volgren bodies are manufactured from aluminium, making them lighter, stronger and safer than a traditional school bus. All of the new buses are equipped with 57 seats, air conditioning, LED lighting and CCTV equipment for increased passenger security.
