Setting the standard for safe, reliable and performance driven school bus transport

QLD New School Buses 800x400

Customer perception of our services is of utmost importance to Buslink, and we are proud to continually maintain a clean and efficient fleet in the communities in which we serve.

We have developed a program that continually monitors and measures the performance and condition of our fleet, in order to check when our buses are due for renewal and to ensure a smooth and timely replacement.

With this in mind, Buslink Sunshine Coast is pleased to announce the addition of two new state-of-the-art Mercedes Benz (chassis) / Volgren (bodied) school buses, to join our vehicle fleet of 120, based here on the coast.

Our new buses (pictured) were featured at the Australia Bus and Coach Expo held on the Gold Coast on 24-16 September 2017. The event housed over 2,400 delegates where suppliers were able to see the newest releases of buses and associated technology.

The buses are built and powered by strong and reliable 7.2 litre Mercedes Benz diesel engines compliant with stringent Euro 5 emission standards. The O 500R raises the standard for school and charter buses with the inclusion of ABS, four-wheel disc brakes and a raise and lowering function as standard equipment.

In addition, the buses are fitted with electronically controlled suspension for added passenger comfort, seat belts, fire detection and suppression system, as well as “telematics”, a system that remotely monitors bus and driver performance.

An Australian company that has a long association with our national operations is Volgren and they have supplied the new bus bodies. Manufactured from aluminium, the bodies are lighter, stronger and safer than a traditional school bus. All of the new buses are equipped with 57 seats, air conditioning, LED lighting and CCTV equipment for increased passenger safety and security.
