Effective Monday 15 June 2026
Please be advised that commencing 15 June 2026 CDC School Bus Routes 5604, 5739, 5741, 5745 and 5772 will no longer be stopping at the bus stops circled in red, known as:
- Diddillibah Rd near Clarkes Rd hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (Northbound)
- Diddillibah Rd near Bahdilli Ct hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (Southbound)
- Diddillibah Rd near Melcar Ct hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (Southbound)
These changes have been implemented following the outcome of the recent on-site safety assessment which has determined that they are unsafe locations to stop a bus for the following reasons:
- The speed limit along this section of road is 70km/h.
- The bus cannot stop on a shoulder or in a location which removes it from a live lane of traffic.
- Although there is a shoulder wide enough to stop heading north near Melcar Ct it’s on a crest with limited visibility to see vehicles coming over the crest when returning to the road. This is evidenced by the convex mirror installed opposite the entrance to Melcar Ct.
It is recommended that all affected students utilize the approved bus stops circled in green, known as
- Diddillibah Rd near Petrie Creek Rd hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah
- 820 Diddillibah Rd hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah
- Diddillibah Rd at Diddillibah Community Hall HnR, Diddillibah
In addition to the above, CDC School Bus Route 5741 will no longer be stopping at the bus stops circled in red on the image below, known as:
- Diddillibah Rd near Brookfield Ct hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (Northbound)
- Diddillibah Rd near Brookfield Ct hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (Southbound)
These changes have been implemented following the outcome of the recent on-site safety assessment which has determined that they are unsafe locations to stop a bus for the following reasons:
- The bus cannot stop on a shoulder or in a location which removes it from a live lane of traffic.
- The southbound stop location is designated ‘no standing’ (i.e. yellow line).
- The northbound stop location is on a bend with no safe options to pull over.

- Diddillibah Rd near Preston Rd hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (northbound)
- 354 Diddillibah Rd hail ‘n’ ride, Diddillibah (southbound)
