Today we remember and honour the memory of well-loved team member Aaron Pitt.
Aaron started at CDC South East Queensland in January 2020 as a mature-aged apprentice and was eager and curious to learn about diesel engines.
He quickly demonstrated his natural ability with mechanical and electrical repairs. His aptitude was recognised at the Queensland Bus Industry Council Awards in April 2022, when he won the Apprentice of the Year Award.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoyed working out at the gym, riding motorbikes and sharing his great sense of humour with friends and family.
Aaron will be laid to rest today in a funeral to be held in Caloundra.
To honour and remember Aaron, CDC’s drivers will leave their lights on from the start to the finish of operations today. CDC is encouraging all bus drivers to join in and shine their lights today to honour and remember Aaron.
